Asset Protection 2015 Book Cover

I am please to announce the publication of my 13th book, Asset Protection 2015: IRS Tax Audits & Lawsuits.

This is an update of my previously published book, Asset Protection 2013: The Gathering Storm

In Asset Protection 2015 our focus is on the two biggest risks to high net worth investors: IRS tax audits and lawsuits.

Recent statistics (2011) confirm:

1. 1.085m lawsuits filed annually in California. (See 2012 Court Statistics Report, page 96).

2. 284k lawsuits filed annually in U.S. Federal District Court. (See Judicial Business Summary 2011, page 2). (Nearly: 1.4m lawsuits per year, 120k per month, 4,000 per day, 166 per hour, 3 per minute).

Predatory litigation against defendants (Deep Pocket), legal costs, and Estate Planning (to distribute assets to intended heirs not 3rd party creditors) all mandate asset protection.

The most effective response is an asset protection strategy using a Puerto Rico life insurance policy owned by a Nassau Trust.

In the words of Carl Sagan:

“Knowing a great deal is not the same as being smart; intelligence is not information alone but also judgment, the manner in which information is collected and used.”
